Two-Handed Sword if you don't care about resale value, go with the Two-Handed Sword. Both of these swords fit within the Oakeshott typology and are based on actual historical swords.
Unless you're going for "THE BEST", Two-Handed Sword is the most cost effective two-handed weapon for a Knight atm.

Much like the Zweihander, the Claymore is a well-rounded all-game companion that players can claim early in Irithyll of the Boreal Valley. It's reasonably stamina efficient, it still has decent poise and damage with heavy attacks, and it has a more overall versatile moveset. Additionally the claymore 1h r1 has nice horizontal slashes capable of dead angles, like the zweihander's r1. And the Hanwei 'Claymore' sword, well a Claymore was hardly a one handed sword either. zweihander is a full commitment weapon, claymore is maybe a bit more forgiving and has a more versatile moveset, tradeoff is lower range, less poise break and less damage.
Zweihander swords are often erroneously called a claymore in popular media. Everybody memes the Zweihander, and it sure does have a lot of damage and poise damage. However if you ever plan to go into an area for a specific mob, use the elemental Claymore. Which would be more effective? Unlike the Zwei, the Claymore does not have a stern Str requirement.
